From Mites right up into the NHL, consistency is everything and should be based on sound fundamentals - not trial and error! We want the goalie to develop fundamentals that don't have to be changed every year. You shouldn't have to start from scratch just because you have a new coach (or no coach) or on a new team or playing at the next level.  We want you to choose and develop fundamentals that if you start working on repeatedly, will become automatic. At which point you can build upon them and add to them at every competitive level, to the point where complete control of the play is achieved rather than just stopping the puck (and then needing someone else to take it from there). We all want to our goalie win. No doubt about it.  But even when we are winning, improvement in the critical areas of our game must be ongoing.  Too often we see coaches not wanting to "mess the goalie up"  because he's winning, so constructive, practical criticism not is not volunteered. We'll help you organize and implement a season long, as well as a season to season development template to follow in order to guide you and your goalie through good games, bad games, winning streaks, losing streaks, as well as growth spurts and coaching changes.

Since you will be going to most games and practices, it's bound to help your goalie if you understand the position and what your goalie is trying to accomplish, other than the obvious of just trying to stop the puck.
